How To Have Cheaper Electricity Bills

I feel accomplished after having cut the glaring electricity bill from RM160 to about RM100 using tips on how to have cheaper electricity bills.

As my new goal is to reduce the electric bill from RM100 to less than RM80 a month, I am doing my best to use the money saving tips on electricity bills available online.

I mentioned 5 Money Saving Tips on Electricity Bills a few days ago.

Today, I am going to share with you a few more useful tips so that you can save as much money as I do and have cheaper electricity bills in future.

1. Use Energy-Efficient Halogen Bulbs. Halogen bulbs tend to outlast incandescents, thus saving you more money over the long haul on replacement lights.

2. Clean Air-Conditioning Filters Every Month. Dust and mold collecting on condenser coils increase strain on the motor blower, therefore it’s necessary to clean the filters every month.

3. Use Dimmer Incandescent Lamps. As hubby and I are at our computer desks most of the time, it’s wise to replace some of the bright incandescent lamps in the home with dimmer ones.

4. Clean the Lamps and Light Fixtures Regularly. Even the slightest layer of dust can reduce light levels.

5. Put Up a Few More Thick Curtains and Window Shades. By putting up a few more thick curtains and window blinds, more sunlight heat is blocked and thus the room temperature will be lower than usual.

I am so excited to see if I hit my goal of having a cheaper electricity bill next month.
