$40,000 Or $50,000 In Credit Card Debt?

I don’t really know how much credit card debt hubby and I have now.

The last time I mentioned our credit card debt was in July 2008 and it was $12,916, approximately RM45,200.

During the process of debt management program applications, some banks took advantage of us by adding extra debt to our credit card accounts through late payment fees, over-limit charges, cash advance interest fees and other miscellaneous payments.

It’s my guess that our credit card debt may have shot to RM48,000 or higher before our debt management plans were approved.

Since my first AKPK debt management program repayment in October 2008 and hubby’s AKPK’s DMP repayment in February 2009, we had requested banks to revert the fees and charges that were not supposed to be charged during the process of the DMP applications. Unfortunately, some banks ignored our requests.

Some of the banks have also stopped sending us the monthly statements. Talking about statements, you know, I am no longer dreading getting the letters from the mailbox. :-)

I used to think about what kind of letters and bills would be in there and I would sometimes let the unopened letters pile up.

Since I am very busy with building niche blogs to make money now, I don’t bother how much the credit card debt is.

So long as hubby and I are in the free debt management programs and the amount of debt is decreasing, it doesn’t really matter how much we still owe.

I am excited to announce that my credit card debts have dropped to $13,942! I can’t wait until May to tell you this piece of good news.

How did I hit $13,942? Thanks to God’s help that I was able to do a few extra online reviews that paid fat money. Yes, more than $165 (RM560).

There is another sum of $90 by the end of this month. I guess God wants me to pay off credit card debts faster.

As for meal expenses, I can still keep to less than $10 (3 meals for hubby and me) a day. Fuel consumption is still less than $60 (RM200) per month.

Great! My credit card debts dropped from $14,911 to $14,112 now.

Stop Using Your Credit Cards! This is my advice to you if you want to get out of credit card debts. I have stopped using my credit cards since January. No more extra charges, purchases, or spending on my credit cards.

By not putting extra charges on my credit card debts, I can see the amount of debts drop bit by bit. I want to see the credit card figures show $13,000 instead of $14,000 next month.

There is someone that I would like to thank this time. No, not my hubby this time. But God. It’s God who helps me in speeding up my credit card debt elimination goal.

I pray and pray that God helps me in whatever way he wants so that I can pay off my credit card debts as soon as possible. So far, God has increased a bit of my online income. Thank, God.

Whenever I am plagued with problems that I can’t handle, I will turn to God and let him take over my problems. God always has solutions for my problems. Though not all the problems have solutions.

There are times that you just have to let go of the problems and focus on something else that God has prepared for you.

My credit card debts have gone down to $14,458 from $14,911! Again, slow but steady.

Time and perseverance are necessary and important when it comes to paying off credit card debts. If I pay off credit card debts consistently, every month for one year, I am sure my credit card debts will decrease tremendously.

I am still able to keep my meal expenses to less than $15 (3 meals) per day. No unexpected expenses popped up, and hopefully, there won’t be any in future.

Pay Off Credit Card Debts Bit By Bit – $14,708

I started blogging about my credit cards last April. The staggering amount was $20,321. And in January 2008, my credit card debts were $14,911. To date, it’s $14,708. Though a bit, it’s still encouraging.

Not using credit cards does help in cutting down the credit card debts. But I guess reducing expenses on meals and grocery is the main reason. Instead of spending more than $15 for 3 meals (hubby’s and mine), I can make spending on meals less than $10 per day.

Moving to a small village to live no doubt makes cutting down expenses and controlling spending habits easier. The nearest shopping mall is about 1/2 hour’s drive, therefore it’s not possible for me to make it weekly. I make it fortnightly.

Happy New Year! What are your new year resolutions?

My only new year resolution is to pay off credit card debts as soon as possible. To date, my credit card debts have dropped to $14,911, that’s about RM50,600!

My blogging pals encouraged me to blog about (perhaps, blog away) my credit card debts while selling Amazon products on various niche blogs.

According to financial experts, recording spending, budgeting and saving may help me see clearly where my money goes to.

I have already destroyed some of my credit cards. So far, I have only 2 credit cards left. They are for unexpected expenses and emergency purposes only.
