Money is very important to me. I need it to settle my credit card debts amounting to $14,911. So saving money and managing my household budget properly is crucial.
To be honest, most of the time, I may be motivated to save money but there are times when temptations come my way and before I know it, I have already spent the amount that was supposed to be added to my savings account.
I guess I can share with you some helpful tips on how you can save money while being able to avoid temptations. I find them easy to follow and I believe I can save some money in the long run. You can too if you want.
1. Try Hard to Avoid Spending Money. No matter how much you love buying tote bags, try very hard to keep yourself away from them.
2. When Going to Grocery Stores. Before heading to grocery stores, always bring the exact amount and bring with you a grocery list. Having limited money in your pocket when in grocery stores forces you to buy only those important things that you need.
You need a grocery list because it will help you in deciding the things that need to be prioritized.
3. Go to the Malls Only When Necessary. If there is nothing important to buy, why go to the malls? Window-shopping will only tempt you to buy things you don’t really need.
4. Keep Your Credit Cards at Home. Having a credit card in your pocket will only tempt you to buy things that are not necessary.
5. Invest Money in a Time Deposit Account. You will not be tempted to get money from the bank every time you need cash, if it is placed in a time deposit account.
6. Consult a Financial Advisor. A financial advisor is able to help you and give you advice on how you can avoid temptations and save more money.
