30-Day Challenge Of Tracking Every Dollar & Cent – Day 4
30-Day Challenge of Tracking Every Dollar & Cent – Day 1 – RM32.60, Day 2 – RM31.10, Day 3 – RM41.25.
It’s the 1st of May or Labor Day today! You would have had one more off day had it fallen on Friday or Monday, right?
Labor Day means nothing to me, the AKPK debt management program blogger, who works from home; I do my online work almost every day.
My sister and the other 8 members are now at Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park. Hubby and I will only join them for dinner this evening. After dinner, it’s either we chat with them in their hotel room or they come to our rented flat for a mahjong session.
Speaking of my sisters, I have this younger sister (the third one) to thank for understanding my financial constraints which result in my inability to take care of my mom financially for the time being.
She is among the 4 of us who is the most successful one financially. She has the plan of buying a less than RM100K apartment nearby her house for mom to live because her mother-in-law doesn’t like my mom to live there. Staying there for a few days is okay, but there will surely be conflicts when my mom lives there.
Currently my mom is living in Klang in the house which she bought with my youngest sister. She has lived there alone since my youngest sister got married and moved to live with her in-laws.
As my youngest sister doesn’t seem to visit my mom often and Klang is simply too far away from my sisters and other family members who are scattered everywhere in Setapak and Wangsa Maju areas, my third sister would like my mom to move out and live close to her and other family members.
Sigh, my mom loves and pampers the youngest one most, but now she seems to distance away from my mom! My eldest sister is the maddest whenever we talk about this little sister.
Anyway, I am glad that my third sister and the eldest sister take the initiative to take care of mom financially when I am in debt and tight on budget.
They used to tell me, “Aiya, who is able, who takes care first lah! When you are okay later, then contribute more lor!” Thanks, sisters.
One day when my car loan is settled (August 2011) and some personal debts are partly/fully paid off (December 2011), I will start taking care of my mom more financially.
Breakfast – RM8.30
Dinner – RM133.30 (it’s quite reasonable since it’s a restaurant and there were 7 adults and 4 kids.)
Money for Mom – RM200 (it’s been a long time since I gave my mom. Ya, I do feel bad for not being able to give her more often.)
Total Spent: RM341.60
