It’s a tiring day today. I didn’t sleep well at my old house last night, plus this morning, I woke up at 6 am, had breakfast and then went to Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Lembaga Air Perak with hubby.
We had to have both the water meter and electricity fuse reinstalled after it’s confirmed that my house in Ipoh would be rented out starting next month.
There weren’t many people in both places, but their way of handling customers simply wasted much of our time. Take the TNB as an example.
First, we went to the customer service counter (1st counter) to ask about our account and get a copy of the bill. Our account was still active, so we just needed to pay the due amount of RM34.05 (2nd counter).
After paying, we went to see a technician (3rd counter) to request the fuse to be reinstalled. He said there’s no such thing of TNB simply unplugging a house’s fuse. No such thing? (Come on, I know there is such thing of unplugging the fuse and replacing it with a faulty one until you make your payment!)
He asked whether the fuse was still attached to the meter board. Honestly, hubby and I didn’t know. He asked us to go home and check first. No way! Hubby took a half-day leave only. There’s no time to go back to check and drive back to TNB again.
So instead of going back to check and returning to TNB again, we decided to pay RM10 for lost/stolen fuse (4th counter). After paying RM10, we had to see another technician (5th counter) to see whether he could do it on Saturday.
See? Seeing 5 different people at 5 different counters/cubicles in order to get ONE thing done. Yay, Malaysia Boleh!
